Nancy Tilles is an award winning artist, well known for her painting and portraits.  Nancy’s work has been commissioned publicly numerous times.  Her paintings are in private collections throughout the country.  Many of her images are presently being licensed to appear on various products.

Paintings by Nancy are joyful expressions of the positive emotional connections between living things through color and form.  As a portrait artist, her focus is on the individual and her work reflects this bias, each painting a story about the subject’s life.  The style of her work can be called a form of “painterly realism.”  Influenced by her South Florida environment, her paintings often reflect a tropical theme, rich in color.

Giclees:  Giclees are museum quality reproductions available.  They are made in a process that has been around since 1985.  The original painting is captured digitally by a 4x5 camera containing 108 million pixels.  This is about 335 mb per shot.  The large prints are created on a waterfast museum quality canvas.  The image is printed using a series of tiny spray nozzles that emit many millions of droplets per second.  This method gives a much higher resolution than lithography.  The drops are sprayed and mixed using the 7 color pigmented ink system and therefore there is a wider range of color than almost any other type of print available on the market.

Paper Giclee Prints:  Paper giclees are printed on 13”x19” Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Matte paper.  The printed image varies in size depending upon its shape.  Prints are sheathed in clear plastic envelopes with a matte board backing measuring 16”x20”.  A description of the print and information about the artist is included.  Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and ready to be framed in a standard size 16”x20”.  It can also be custom framed.  Custom sizes are available upon request.

Custom Canvas Giclees (Prices must be quoted):  Canvas giclees are stretched for framing and coated with a uv varnish.  It is then embellished by the artist with paint applied directly to the canvas.  This enhancement makes it very difficult to tell the difference between the original painting and the giclees.  When the embellishment is complete, it is recoated once again with a uv varnish.  Each canvas giclees is an original.  The printed image and the embellishment are never exactly the same.  Canvas giclees are available in custom sizes.
